A major new sponsor appeared on the revised livery of Super Aguri’s SA07 contender when the car was revealed to the media at Albert Park on Wednesday.
Honda backed Super Aguri did not have a title sponsor in 2006.
The logos of ‘SS United Oil and Gas’ feature prominently on the red and white car, and a statement revealed that an official announcement is due to be made by the Japanese squad at the Melbourne venue on Thursday.
The Dutch squad Spyker, meanwhile, is also promising “an exciting new team development” at a news conference on Thursday morning.
