Kolles threatened to quit over Spyker sale

F1 principal Colin Kolles would have quit the sport had former owner Alex Shnaider not sold the Silverstone based team to Spyker, it has emerged.

The Dutch publication Sportweek claims that, concerned about Midland mogul Shnaider’s hesitation at the $160m offer last year, he sought Bernie Ecclestone’s support to see a change of ownership at the flagging formula one team.
