280,000 Spaniards turned out on Sunday to cheer Fernando Alonso, as the world champion drove his formula one Renault on the streets of Seville.

The 24-year-old, who exactly a week earlier become the first ever Spaniard to win his home race in Barcelona, described the 20-minute experience at the wheel of his title-winning 2005 car as ‘unforgettable’.

Renault’s original ‘RS01’ from 1977 also made an appearance on the temporary street course, driven by Rene Arnoux.gmmf1 dailyf1news.com
