Part time Spyker-MF1 test driver Adrian Sutil endured a bad day at Suzuka on Friday.
Not only did the 23-year-old German’s Toyota engine fail, stranding him in dead last position in the decisive afternoon session, he also copped a (US) $1000 fine for exceeding the pit lane speed limit by nearly 5kph.

A fans’ flag tied to a grandstand at the Suzuka circuit on Friday politely urged Michael Schumacher, at his last ever F1 race in Japan, to encourage the motor racing career of his seven year old son.

Jacques Villeneuve’s press agent has denied reports that said the former world champion had signed a contract to race for Roush Racing in Nascar next year.
”(The rumours) are going a bit too fast there,” Yan Lefort told the Toronto based ‘Globe and Mail’ newspaper.
He said: ”Nothing has been signed yet.”

Felipe Massa reacted sarcastically at Suzuka when reporters said David Coulthard had pinned the blame for their Shanghai shunt on him.
”I’m sure David is right,” the Ferrari driver smiled wryly, ”because he is the one who always does things right.”
Coulthard drives a Ferrari powered Red Bull.
