Nov.30 (GMM) Mike Conway believes he has an outside chance of becoming Nico Rosberg’s teammate at Mercedes GP in 2010.
The 26-year-old British Indycar driver, who did some running with Brawn’s predecessor Honda, has been called up alongside Marcus Ericsson to drive the BGP001 at this week’s young driver test at Jerez.
Mercedes GP has signed Rosberg for next season but is yet to name the German’s teammate.
“I’ve been working on my Indycar plans to stay in the series for next season, but this has certainly thrown a spanner in the works,” Conway told Kent News.
“It would be amazing to get the second seat, but there is a long way to go,” he added.
