Robert Kubica is taking part in Italian rally Trofeo Aci Como. Today drivers participated in shakedown in which Kubica, who drives Citroen C4 WRC, was the fastest.
For the first time Kubica is driving Citroen C4 WRC in rally. This car was specially modified for him – gear paddle is located on the left side of steering wheel and handbrake is activated by button. Car was prepared by Ph Sport.
There are 49 cars in Trofeo Aci Como and Kubica has number 6. Above him there are 4 cars WRC – three Ford Focus WRC and one Citroen C4 WRC.
Kubica arrived at Como about 11 o`clock and he gave some interviews and took photos with fans. Pole said that for him it`s another stage of rehabilitation and he want to drive safely but fast.
During meeting with fans there was a funny situation where one of them wanted an autograph from Kubica on wrongfully created poster with… Vitaly Pietrow.
Shakedown started at 2:30 and according to reports, Kubica was fastest with 6-seconds advantage over rivals. Here are an unofficial results:
