Fisi calls Ferrari ‘dangerous’

Giancarlo Fisichella does not agree that Ferrari’s spark of pace at Imola two weeks ago was a 2005-style flash in the pan.

Renault’s Roman driver told his column in La Gazzetta dello Sport: ”Ferrari? I think they are going to be dangerous at the Nurburgring.

”I believe they will be as strong as they were at Imola for the rest of the 2006 season.”

But the 33-year-old also admitted that it will be difficult for any rival, including himself, to now chase down teammate Fernando Alonso for the 2006 title.

Fisichella insisted: ”But I am convinced that I will win again soon.

”It is still early in the championship and I am only thinking race-to-race.”
