Jean Todt denied that the interminable Rascasse-saga at Monaco has damaged Ferrari’s reputation.
”Michael was harshly criticised,” the Frenchman, team principal, insisted, ”and we supported him.
”I do not believe that our image has suffered.”
Similarly, FIA president Max Mosley rejected any suggestions that the reputation of the sport itself suffered in the wake of Michael Schumacher’s dodgy moves.
It has even been remarked that the Ferrari driver’s penalised actions, and subsequent denials, were worthy of a summons to the FIA’s World Motor Sport Council.
But Mosley told Motorsport News: ”I think this is all part of the sport.
