Red Bulls David Coulthard has labelled McLarens Juan Pablo Montoya’s driving tactics as “disgusting and unacceptable”. Coulthards flare up came after he alleged that the Colombian deliberately held him up in qualifying and prevented the Red Bull driver from setting a competitive enough time to move into the final top ten qualifying.
The incident was officially investigated by the race stewards, but no action was taken and the following statement was released, “The stewards after hearing the explanation of both drivers, heard from the respective competitors’ team managers, considered the data evidence and time sheets produced decided that the matter requires no further action.”
