On a completely packed TT-circuit of Assen Jos Verstappen gave a spectacular demo with the A1 Team Netherlands car. Starting from the grid Verstappen drove two flying laps, setting a fastest lap time of 1:32.184, which is the fastest lap ever by a car on the TT-circuit.
After the two timed laps it was time for Jos to burn some rubber, after which he greeted the enthusiastic crowd. Before and after the demo Verstappen signed lots of autographs for the many fans at the team garage.
Jos Verstappen was quite enthusiastic about this second demo of A1 Team Netherlands. “The stands are packed and the weather is good. It’s nice to be here. I never drove here before but I liked this circuit. This was another great opportunity to introduce A1 and A1 Team Netherlands to the Dutch fans. Maybe we could have gone a few seconds faster, now it was only two laps and you cannot do too much on improving the car setup.
Next week is the third A1 Team Netherlands demo. At Bavaria City Racing, Jos Verstappen will drive the orange A1 car on the street circuit through the centre of Rotterdam.
