7 young drivers from 6 teams took part in first day of Abu Dhabi traditional tests on Yas Marina circuit. Kevin Magnussen in McLaren was an author of day best time with 1:42.651s. Just 66 thousands of a second slower was Antonio Felix da Costa in Red Bull RB8. Third was Gary Paffett, second McLaren driver.
Drivers made 40-79 laps on Yas Marina Circuit in good weather conditions.
