The first test of the 2007 pre-season kicked off at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya on Tuesday morning.

Former Williams driver Mark Webber wore plain black overalls as he tested a 2006 Red Bull for the first time, while many runners appeared to be using slick Bridgestone tyres.

The interim Hondas of James Rossiter and Rubens Barrichello appeared in a striking all-black livery, while the team’s former long time test driver Anthony Davidson debuted for Super Aguri.

Honda’s new tester Christian Klien watched from pit lane.

McLaren, whose newly appointed race driver Lewis Hamilton was spotted being towed back to the pits after an early mechanical problem, was also in action, as were runners for BMW-Sauber, Renault and Williams.
