Aggressive drivers will adjust – Heidfeld

BMW-Sauber rookie Robert Kubica will adjust to life on Bridgestone’s control tyre in 2007.

That is the claim of his more experienced teammate Nick Heidfeld, following reports that Pole Kubica, 22, has so far struggled to effectively employ his notably aggressive driving style to the harder rubber.

Asked whether other aggressive drivers, such as world champion Fernando Alonso, might encounter similar trouble, Germany’s Heidfeld said: “Yes — some more, some less, but I think winter testing will be enough time for them to adapt.”

In an interview with ITV, Alonso agreed that his first tests for McLaren made him realise that a slight style-tweak will be needed.

The Spaniard added: “But it is only a little bit. There is nothing to worry about.”
