Fernando Alonso was the quickest man in the second free practise session. The Renault F1 driver just ended up in front of Felipe Massa and the McLaren drivers.
Mark Webber, Kimi Raikkonen, Giancarlo Fisichella, and Kimi Raikkonen all crashed in the rain. The rain started to fall just after the start of the session. At the end of the session the circuit was dry again. Just a a few minuts before the end of the session Fernando Alonso showed he has the right pace in the Ardennes.
