Indy Car’s Marco Andretti, the son of 1993 McLaren driver Michael and the grandson of former champion Mario, will next week make his formula one test debut in a Honda car at Jerez.
The Brackley based team announced in a statement that the 19-year-old will get behind the wheel on Friday, the last day of the pre-Christmas test period.
Honda said the test is “in recognition of (Marco’s) achievements in the Honda-powered IndyCar Series this year.”
The same statement mentioned that the 2007 Honda car will be launched “early next year”.
