Dec.18 (GMM) Gerhard Berger is expected to assume a leading management role at the newly Gerard Lopez-owned Renault formula one team in 2010, according to the respected French publication Auto Hebdo.
The Austrian, 50, won ten grands prix before becoming joint BMW motor sport director and subsequently a co-owner of the Toro Rosso team.
He sold his 50 per cent share in the Faenza based team back to Red Bull’s Dietrich Mateschitz a year ago.
