A Briton has paid $200 to officially change his name to Fernando Alonso, according to the English tabloid The Mirror.

The 21-year-old, who was born David Fuller, is now known as Fernando Alonso Rodney Trotter Ronaldinho. F1’s world champion aside, he has also named himself after a British television character from the 80s – Rodney Trotter – and the Brazilian football player.

In some countries including Britain, the legal document deed poll can be used to formally change one’s name.
