Changes at Yas Marina circuit, Warwick to judge for FIA

A few small changes are waiting for drivers in this week`s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Yas Marina Circuit – FIA announced a list of them and name of a former F1 driver who will join official F1 steward panel in next race.

Comparing to past years, there isn`t many changes on Abu Dhabi`s circuit. Higher curbs were installed at turns 5-6, 12-14 and 18-19 to avoid cutting them by drivers during sessions.

FIA also announced that former Renault, Brabham and Lotus driver, Derek Warwick will be in F1 stewards panel which judges in controversial situations during Grand Prixs.

It will be seventh Warwick appearance in that role – earlier he was an official steward at Grand Prix in Spain and Hungary in 2010, Turkey and Abu Dhabi in 2011 and Germany and Japan this year. Warwick has 140 starts in F1 from 1981 to 1993 with four podiums.

Since August 2011, Warwick has been President of the British Racing Drivers Club (BRDC).
