TIME OF TRUTH

The race in Spa not only revealed how are the real forces in F1.
It also showed that people have bluffed and, worse, denying later.
It was pointed as a shame by the Japanese media.

R.I.P. LIGIER

The F1 lost on Sunday, 8/23, one of its most iconic characters.
Died Guy Ligier, a former pilot and team owner.
In its heyday, the Ligier team had talented drivers such as Jacques Laffite, Patrick Detailer and Rene Arnoux.

IMBROGLIO

In the confusion that followed in the paddock after the Belgian Grand Prix at Vettel’s tire blow, they blamed everyone but no one has found the culprit.
Ferrari blames Pirelli which in turn blames the FIA for not having accepted its technical advice.
In the end, who lost everything was Vettel who made a fantastic race and did not deserve it.

GOOFY

We never saw in F1 history anything like what happened in the Williams box at Spa.
A car with three soft tires and a medium type it was a real mess.
Interestingly, if this “strategy” had been adopted by Ferrari, Vettel’s tyre perhaps had not a blow-out.
Just kidding…

BY THE WAY

Williams’ Rob Smedley remind us of Ferrari’s Rob Smedley.
The strategic mistakes or blunders are likely for a small team.
Never for a one with a glorious past as the Grove team.

THE DANCE

Mercedes dominates, Ferrari comes next, Williams remains third in the World Championship. If someone think that had seen this movie before, that’s right.
Formula 1 remains the same as the first half of the Championship.
Occasionally, we will see Lotus, Force India and Red Bull performing a little bit better, but nothing more.
