Coulthard tests RB2

Wed, 1 February 2006, 11:55

Although Valencia had returned to it’s usual sunny and warm self by this afternoon, David Coulthard was only able to run on dry weather tyres from around midday onwards. Overnight rain had left the Ricardo Tormo track wet enough for intermediates when the day’s work began.

However, DC was already changing back into civvies shortly after three this afternoon when the team spotted an engine change was on the cards. The V8 was actually at the end of its working life and was due to have been changed this evening anyway, but the team effectively lost the last two hours of running today.

David concentrated on general chassis work, and Christian Klien will take over driving duties tomorrow for the final day of the test.
