F1’s famous faces were out in force at the Albert Park circuit on Wednesday.
World champion Fernando Alonso, accompanied by a posse of black and white-clad McLaren engineers, walked the Melbourne layout, as did Alex Wurz and others, but Toro Rosso’s Scott Speed did a somewhat quicker lap on a racing bicycle.
Pitlane also buzzed with activity, with the Honda guys appearing to be the odd ones out as they worked on the much-disparaged ‘Earth Car’ in plain black gear.
The word ‘plain’ could hardly be used to describe the tattoo-clad former Motley Crew drummer and Pamela Anderson ex Tommy Lee, who later took a lap alongside Toro Rosso’s Speed in the passenger seat of a black Ferrari road car.
