Felipe Massa on Pole-Position!

Felipe Massa has taken pole for the Malaysian grand prix after a thrilling qualifying session at Sepang.

The Brazilian, who has dominated all weekend so far at the venue near Kuala Lumpur, drove the best lap in the definitive Q3 session in the dying seconds, just moments after Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen also enjoyed fleeting moments at the top of the order amid a lingering threat of rain.

Splitting the Ferraris on the grid is world champion Fernando Alonso, with Massa’s teammate and championship leader Raikkonen third, nearly half a second behind Massa.

Neither Renault made the top-ten cut, after the reigning champion team’s drivers just scraped through the first fifteen minute run.
