Caterham boss Tony Fernandes is going to quit from Formula 1 with the end of this season.
Tony Fernandes announced that he will not stay in Formula 1 Caterham team and in next year he will focus on his road car business.
Malesian is Caterham (former Lotus Racing and Team Lotus) boss since its entrance to F1 in 2010. Since the beginning he was underlining that he will be in Caterham only until he will find someone to replace him.
Fernandes announces his decision just few hours after press conference on which Caterham and its F1 engine supplier Renault announced that they will produce road-going sports cars.
There are many names in rumours about future Caterham F1 Team boss. Fernandes didn`t said who will replace him, but he suggested that this person is already working in F1.
Caterham is currently 11th in Constructors standings and in its F1`s history team didn`t score even one point.
