Ferrari commenced a ‘new era’ at Monza on Sunday, the Italian press proclaimed on Monday morning.

”Michael (Schumacher) would gladly have continued,” national sports daily La Gazzetta dello Sport wrote, ”but not alongside (Kimi) Raikkonen.”

Tuttosport added: ”For ten years formula one identified itself with Schumi and Ferrari. Nothing will be the same again.”

‘La Stampa’ said Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo has ‘closed one door and opened another’.

”A new era begins, but what the future holds is still uncertain.”
