The Spyker team will definitely use Ferrari power next year, it emerged in Shanghai on Saturday.
With the Italian works outfit and either Toro Rosso or Red Bull, the news means that Spyker is the third team to be powered by Ferrari for 2007.
Spyker-MF1 chiefs met at Ferrari’s Maranello factory last week, but using a Cosworth V8 engine remained an option until Friday night.
A one-year deal with options for up to two further seasons is understood to have been finally signed this morning, according to sources in the Chinese paddock.
