Ferrari raises eyebrows with high rear wing

May 20 (GMM) The FIA late on Friday is pondering the legality of a new rear wing debuted in Barcelona practice by Ferrari.

Strictly speaking, the wing was too high, but it technically adheres to the regulations due to a loophole about additional gurney flaps.

But Auto Motor und Sport said rivals are concerned about the arguable 3cm discrepancy, while the FIA is rushing to quickly close the loophole in its rules.

“We will talk with them (Ferrari) about it this evening,” the FIA’s technical delegate Charlie Whiting is quoted as saying.
