Robert Kubica scored his and BMW Sauber’s first Pole-Position today. In the last minuts of qualifiying the Polish driver was able to beat Felipe Massa and Lewis Hamilton.
In Q1 Takuma Sato made a small mistake and spunn of the circuit, occuring a red flag situation. At the end of Q1 Coulthard, Fisichella, Vettel, Sutil, Davidson and Sato were out.
In Q2 Webber, Barrichello, Glock, Piquet, Bourdais and Nakajima slipped out. Two times world champion Fernando Alonso just managed to reach Q1.
Felipe Massa showed his pace directly in Q3. In the last few minuts it was Hamilton who was able to beat Massa. In the last few minuts it was Kubica in the BMW Sauber who clocked the quickest laptime.
