Glock still in frame for F1 seats – manager

Timo Glock is still in the frame to join the formula one race action in 2008.

That was the insistence of his manager on Tuesday, amid rumours that promising negotiations with Toyota might have broken down over a disagreement about the desired length of the contract.

It is suggested that while the Japanese outfit wants a long term deal, newly crowned GP2 champion Glock is not keen to be tied down so that BMW-Sauber is free to pull him back perhaps in 2009.

But 25-year-old Glock’s manager Hans-Bernd Kamps told Auto Motor und Sport: “There are four top teams which have stated their interest in Timo.”

Alongside Toyota and Williams, Kamps could be referring to theoretical openings at McLaren, Renault or Honda.
