Jenson Button has enthused about Honda’s new RA107 car, despite being spotted broken down at the side of the track on Thursday at the Valencia group test.
“The new car feels very good indeed,” he said. “We are going to put many miles under its wheels before the first race and try to develop the car prior to the season.”
His Brazilian teammate, Rubens Barrichello, is also upbeat, but cautioned that there is “a lot of work to do” before the green lights shine.
“The car is already on the same pace as last year’s chassis, despite not having all of its development parts yet,” Barrichello, 34, added.
“From my laps this week, I really enjoyed the feeling of the car.”
