Istanbul: Flying Finn sets early pace

Completing just five laps, McLaren driver Kimi Raikkonen set the fastest lap in first free practice at the Istanbul Otodrom. Michael Schumacher, completing just four laps, set the second fastest time while championship leader Fernando Alonso completed an installation lap only, preferring to conserve his race-old engine. Many others did the same.

Quite a few drivers did set some lap times though:
