Jerez 13 December – Kovalainen sets the pace

Wed, 13 December 2006, 05:51

Yesterday, Jerez saw only one team out on track – Toyota. Today, however, more teams than not joined them on a sunny and dry, yet cool, day.

While Liuzzi and Rossiter caused excitment with a blown engine and a red-flag causing stop out on track respectively, it was Finn Heikki Kovalainen who set the track alight in his Renault – ending the day almost half a second faster than Ferrari test driver and veteran Luca Badoer.
