On the third day of testing at Jerez it was McLaren test driver Pedro De La Rosa who took over the mantle of fastest man on the day. He also topped the Finn’s top time from yesterday by about 3 tenths of a second. De La Rosa managed a faster time than rookie and 2007 McLaren race driver Lewis Hamilton.
Kovalainen could only manage 8th fastest on the day.
