Kimi Raikkonen gave nothing away when a swarm of journalists huddled around him on the final day of pre-season testing in Bahrain last week.
Reporters asked which team he thought had looked best at the Sakhir test, why he appears slower than teammate Felipe Massa at present, and whether the F2007 Ferrari is the best car he’s ever driven.
Three questions on the trot, the stoical Finn gave nothing away.
“I don’t pay attention to what our rivals are doing,” Raikkonen, 27, said in a barely audible voice, as the reporters edged their microphones closer to his lips.
“We are going to go to the first race in very good form,” Kimi admitted, “and we will try to win as many races as we can and hopefully the title.
“The car is very good but you never know what the others are doing so we have to wait and see what happens in Melbourne.”
