Kobayashi ask fans for help

Kamui Kobayashi, who lost his seat in Sauber next season, thanked his fans for support and donations.

When it was revealed that Kobayashi will not extend his contract with Sauber and that he will lose his seat in this team, the Japanese driver asked his fans for help to raise funds to buy place in other F1 team.

Fans showed their support for Kobayashi and in just one week raised over 700 000 Euros through special website “Kamui Support”.

Japanese thanked all his fans on Twitter: “Thank you all who used Kamui Support. Thank you very much. On 27th November we raised 65
813 672 yens” – he wrote.

Former Sauber driver admitted in Brazil that he is negotiating with one of the F1 teams but much depends on financial matters.

Kobayashi is in Formula 1 since 2009 season. Firstly he replaced injured Timo Glock in Toyota and then he signed contract with Sauber. Japanese has 51 starts and 98 points on his account.
