Kubica wins another rally

Last weekend Robert Kubica won Bassano Rally in Italy. Polish driver was over a minute quicker than second driver. Kubica was very satisfied with his body behaviour during rally and he doesn’t give up in his fight to regain as much fitness as he can.

It has been Pole`s third start since his comeback to sport after a horrible crash in Ronde di Andora rally in February 2011. Pole and his Italian co-driver Emmanuele Inglesi were one of 5 WRC cars in this rally. Earlier Robert won Ronde Gomitolo di Lana and retired from San Martino di Castrozza.

Rally started on Friday. Robert won first stage and then he was 10th on second stage because of incorrect tyre strategy. Next stages were brilliant for him – he was 3rd on third stage and then he started winning every stage from 4th to 9th and came at finish line with 64 seconds of advantage over second driver who was M. Sossella.

After rally Pole said to Italian television that he is happy with his body performance: “I`m glad that we`re on finish. Far more important than victory was my body behaviour and I`m very satisfied. I`ve drove over 120 km on stages in tough conditions and with good pace. There is long road for me to regain good mobility in my hand, but it seems that maybe it`s not so long as I thought” – said Kubica.

It is still not known when and where Kubica will start in next rally.
