Vitantonio Liuzzi says he hopes Toro Rosso does not fill the vacancy left by Champ Car bound third driver Neel Jani.
The Italian race driver told the magazine Autosprint: “I do not know whether we will use a driver on Fridays, but I don’t think so.”
Liuzzi, who is 25, said he and likely 2007 teammate Scott Speed would ideally like every possible opportunity to drive the new STR2 car after it faced launch delays.
He added: “This winter we have already lost three tests, putting us a whole month behind the others – a disaster!”
