Michael Schumacher’s spokeswoman has confirmed that the retired seven time world champion will attend the upcoming Spanish grand prix in Barcelona.
It will be the 38-year-old German’s first visit to a formula one paddock since racing for the final time in Brazil last October.
Schumacher is also scheduled to attend the French grand prix at Magny Cours for the spine and brain injury charity ICM, and subsequently at the Nurburgring – the closest formula one circuit to his birthplace in Kerpen – to drive through the newly renamed ‘Schumacher S’ section.
With the information of Schumacher’s spokeswoman Sabine Kehm, German news agency ‘sid’ revealed that the former Ferrari driver will attend the Spanish grand prix in his new capacity as an advisor to the Italian team.
