A week before the start of the first season without him since 1990, retired multiple world champion Michael Schumacher has wished Ferrari “all the best” for the challenge in ’07.

The German, who has been replaced at the Italian squad by Finn Kimi Raikkonen, is quoted as saying: “I have the feeling that we are very well prepared for the first race and that we will perform strongly.

“I can hardly wait for the beginning of the world championship because it looks like being a closely fought and exciting year.

“Now all I can do is cross my fingers and wish Ferrari all the best.”
