Manor Marussia F1 have confirmed Roberto Merhi as Will Stevens teammate for the opening races of the 2015 season as well as Jordan King as their new development driver.

Merhi has experience in racing GP3, DTM, Formula Renault 3.5 and most recently has driven for Caterham F1 team during the 2014 FP1 sessions. Merhi explains that he is now ready for progression into Forumula 1:

“It is a big responsibility but I feel ready to make this step in my career and to show that I can make an important contribution to developing a team,” explains Merhi.

Team principal John Booth expresses his delight in securing the services of his new recruits:

“It is fantastic to welcome Roberto and Jordan to the team,” John Booth said. “Not only are they very talented young drivers with exciting futures ahead of them, they have also been ‘graduates’ of Manor Motorsport in the junior formulae, which is obviously very rewarding for us, given that the development of young talent is an important part of our philosophy.”

The new appointments complete the Manor F1 team which has recovered from the depths of despair as the struggling Marussia F1 team to now compete at the first round in Australia.
