Felipe Massa, who replaced his countryman at the Ferrari team this year, says he feels sorry for Brazil’s Rubens Barrichello.
He told ‘Eurosport Automagazin’ that it must be difficult for Barrichello to have left a front-running team to join Honda, which – despite teammate Jenson Button’s Hungarian breakthrough – has struggled so far in 2006.
”It was Rubens’ decision to go to Honda,” said 25-year-old Massa, ”but he is probably surprised at the way it has turned out.
Massa continued: ”They expected to go and fight for the championship, but they are not doing as well as that.
”I hope the situation improves for him.”
