Felipe Massa is not among the top three drivers in F1.
That is the admission of his Ferrari team boss, Jean Todt, who is also the father of 24-year-old Massa’s personal manager, Nicolas.
Clearly referring to Michael Schumacher, Kimi Raikkonen and Fernando Alonso, Todt Sr said at the Nurburgring: ”There are three drivers in this championship who have a bit more than the others.
”I think Felipe is among the best behind them.”
Massa, on a one-year contract at Ferrari and with an uncertain future at the team, rose to his first podium in Germany on Sunday.
But technical director Ross Brawn told Reuters that he would like more ‘consistency’ out of the team newcomer, adding: ”He just needs to develop and work with the team more closely.”
