Felipe Massa on Sunday admitted that his gearbox problem in qualifying cost him a shot at the podium in the Australian grand prix.
From the back of the grid, the Brazilian climbed to sixth at the Melbourne chequer, but he was also nearly lapped by his victorious teammate Kimi Raikkonen.
Asked if he thought he could have been on the podium, 25-year-old Massa said in the paddock: “Yeah, easy,” before being ushered away by a Ferrari PR person.
