The new McLaren-Mercedes MP4-21 is set to make its track debut at the Barcelona circuit in Spain next week.
Although the team had originally planned to run it behind closed doors at Valencia, the new car will instead break cover in public at the Circuit de Catalunya at the start of a major test.
Spanish driver Pedro de la Rosa is expected to be the man in charge of shaking down the new car, although racing drivers Juan Pablo Montoya and Kimi Raikkonen will attend the event. Team chief Ron Dennis also plans to be there.
The exact date for the car’s debut is yet to be confirmed.
McLaren have been testing with a hybrid version of their 2005 car so far.
