Now Giedo van der Garde has been confirmed as one of Caterham’s race drivers for the 2013 Formula One season, Caterham is adding two of his long-time sponsors to its roster.
The Dutchman, who will be the first driver from his country to race in Formula One since Christijan Albers in 2007, is backed by McGregor, a Dutch fashion house, and Beelen.nl, a recycling and waste management firm.
Van der Garde’s manager, Jan Paul ten Hoopen, is also the commercial director of McGregor, which is also a sponsor of the Williams team.
