A spokesman for the Renault team at Hockenheim has rejected reports that Flavio Briatore is planning to announce that he will stay at the team next year.
”That is not planned,” spokesman Bradley Lord was quoted as saying by Focus Online.
Team principal Briatore’s contract runs out at the end of the year, and it is speculated that – as has become the norm – he has agreed a one-season extension for 2007.
But other rumours suggest that the 57-year-old Italian could be looking for a new challenge, such as returning his private engine supplier ‘Mecachrome’ to the grid.gmmf1 dailyf1news.com
