No no.1 next year?

If the retiring Michael Schumacher wins the drivers’ title this year, the coveted ‘number one’ could disappear from the formula one grid for a year.

In the 1994 season, after quadruple champion Alain Prost won the title for Williams and then retired, Damon Hill oddly wore the number ‘0’.

”I don’t know what would happen,” Germany’s Schumacher told reporters at Suzuka. ”I’m not sure if they have changed that (regulation) or not.”
