No plans yet for Toyota ‘B’ car – Vasselon

Toyota does not currently plan to unveil a ‘B’ version of its TF107 car later this year.

But technical chief Pascal Vasselon told “That doesn’t mean we will not build one if we consider it to be necessary.”

The Japanese giant has had another lacklustre winter off-season, but Vasselon refused to bolster the doomsayers who reckon Toyota could be the least competitive works team on the streets of Melbourne this weekend.

The Frenchman added: “We were also not impressive during the tests in 2005 but we had a good start to the season.

“It is wrong to interpret testing times as though they are time sheets from a race weekend. We are still counting on having a good season and it is too early to lose our optimism.”
