A clear sign that Michael Schumacher is not expecting to wrap up his eighth and final world championship this weekend is the absence in Japan both of his wife and, rarely, long time manager Willi Weber.
”There will be no party (after the race),” the emphatic German insisted to reporters on Thursday at Suzuka.
”On Sunday I will travel home.”
If the 37-year-old wins Sunday’s race with a DNF by Fernando Alonso, he will seal the drivers’ title.
The Ferrari driver also refused to comment on Fernando Alonso’s apparent internal team quarrel at Renault.
