Australian airline Qantas has signed a new “multi million dollar sponsorship deal” with the Australian grand prix for the period 2008-2010, race organisers announced on Monday.
Referring to Qantas as the Melbourne event’s “official airline”, a statement said the company had been involved with the formula one race since 1996.
The deal includes sponsorship of the Paddock Club and track signage. Another previous title sponsor, Foster’s, is also still involved with the grand prix in 2008, as “official beer supplier”.
With a three year contract, Dutch bank ING is the new title sponsor.
