Red Bull’s 2007 car will hit the test tracks early next year, Australian driver Mark Webber revealed this week.
“The new car is coming out in the middle of January,” he told the Australian Grand Prix Corporation’s official website, adding that his first test for the team will be with the 2006 car later in November.
“Hopefully we won’t have to hold too much back (after testing) and we can show what the car can really do from the first grand prix,” Mark Webber said.
The first Adrian Newey-penned Red Bull single seater will be dubbed ‘RB3’.
Webber, 30, also insisted that he is looking forward to lining up alongside David Coulthard in 2007; another veteran of the Williams team.
He added: “I think I will undoubtedly learn a few things from David. I think it could be the best ever season from a team coming out of Milton-Keynes.”
